Age Groups & Class Requirements
Kid Kart
NOTE: Kid Karts are a non-points exhibition class.
Age: 5 thru 8 years old
Kart Specifications
Front Width: 40-inch maximum (no minimum).
Rear Width: 39-inch minimum. 42-inch maximum
Wheelbase: 37.75 inches maximum
Tires: MG SH or SH2(Red) with a maximum circumference of 33-3/8 inches. Maximum tire pressure of 30 PSI after race.
Minimum weight: 150 lbs.
Only OEM bodywork is allowed.
Engines
Comer C-50 or C-51: 50cc with fixed jet carb sizes 54 to 58. Gear ratio 10/89. #219 chain.
Briggs Junior 206: per 2017 WKA Specifications. Gear ratio 17/57. #35 chain.
Honda GXH50U: As supplied by Honda Performance Development.
Micro Swift
Age: 7 through 10 years old

Bodywork:
All bodywork must be CIK-style in appearance and must meet WKA Manufacturer’s Cup specifications. Front nose must be equipped with a CIK-homologated pushback nose system with a maximum of two CIK-homologated clamps.

MG SH, SH2 (Red) 10×4.60-5 Front and rear.

Mini Swift
Age: 8 through 12 years old

Briggs 206 Senior Heavy

Expert
Age: Any individual who is at least 8 years old may enter the Expert class. Drivers 8 – 15 years old may race this class only with the Race Committee’s approval.
Note:
The intention here is to provide a place to race for any visitors to our track who’s kart or equipment do not fall into any of BKC’s class structures.
Requirements:
Kart must pass safety pre-tech.
Kart/driver combination must satisfy the requirements of a nationally recognized kart-sanctioning body.
Fuel
Open fuel. No Dioxane. Subject to test for such.
Other Rules That You Should Check Out
- Tire treating is prohibited in all classes.
- MG SH SH2 (Red) Tires Only for all 2-cycle classes and kid karts.
- MG RL1 or VK (Orange) for all 4-cycle classes.
- Expert: any tire meeting IKF or WKA tire qualifications.
- Briggs 206 classes use a spec gas; BP 87-octane gasoline available at the Bull Frog Gas Station located at 319 N. Main St., Dousman, WI.
- 2-Cycle classes use a spec gas; BP 93-octane gasoline available at the Bull Frog Gas Station located at 319 N. Main St., Dousman, WI.
- 2-Cycle spec oil is 6 to 8oz Redline Racing Oil, Xeramic Castor Evolution 2T Kart Racing Oil, or ELF HTX-909 per gallon.
- All classes require CIK bodywork and full rear bumpers.
- All the specs listed in the class requirements on this site are not all of the rules. They are the main ones for our class structure.
- WKA rules apply, unless specified in our ‘Class Requirements’ on this site and the Badger Kart Club’s ‘Competition Rules, Regulations and Procedures’ Book.
